THE PASTOR & STAFF:
The Pastor, under the supervision of the congregation is to officiate
over formal church business and to provide with the staff the day-to-day
administrative direction for policy, vision, and purpose/mission
of the church. The congregation delegates responsibility and appropriate
authority to the pastor and church staff to help develop, coordinate,
and support the congregation’s effort for effective ministry
to church, community, nation and world. The entire staff shall
meet every Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:15 am for devotions. The Executive
Staff (Pastor, Associate Pastor and all Directors) shall meet from
10:15 to 11:00 a.m. to review and discuss the ministry.
THE DEACONS: The Deacons are generally responsible for the
SPIRITUAL HEALTH of the congregation. In partnership with the pastor,
they do this by ensuring that all teaching is doctrinally sound,
administering the ordinances, church discipline, maintaining church
membership rolls, providing care and comfort and being watchful against
trends that threaten the doctrine and life of the congregation. With
the congregational approval, they recruit candidates to serve as
deacons. The Deacons select their own chairperson. The Deacons shall
be responsible for dividing up the membership into district for providing
spiritual care, visitation, prayer and benevolent care to the sick,
poor and the needed. Each ministry of the church shall be assigned
to a Deacon for prayer and encouragement. See below for assigned
