From Providence Hill let praise be made and tell of all that Thou
has done.
We finish by Thy grace, by Thy grace,
The work, which Thou has given us to do,
The work, which Thou has given us to do.
These
words are challenge to us who are called to this place for such a
time as this to carry out the love of God through service and ministry
to this congregation, community and world.
On behalf of the Pastor, Staff, Officers and members of Providence
Baptist Church – The Cornerstone of the Nation , I like to
welcome you to
this website. I believe what you will discover as you navegate
your way
around this site is our challenge from God to his people – the
local
church – the hope of the world - at this mission station
called
PROVIDENCE. God is calling us here at Providence and in Liberia
out of the aches
of violence into building a church, His Kingdom and a nation
of peace
where lives are transformed and communities are renewed through
the
power of the Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:18-20, Isaiah 58:12). We believe
God has
called us to BUILD A CHURCH WHERE LIVES ARE RADICALLY CHANGED
AND
DISCIPLES ARE INTENTIONALLY MADE. This is Providence’s particular
flavor and
shape, and it is our prayers and hopes that as you navigate this
website you will experience this.
On this site you will discover how the divine and the human are
bridge,
how the everyday working out of God’s call on our lives is
accomplished
at this work station on Providence Hill. Here you will learn
where we
are going as a congregation (our mission and vision), how we
are getting
there (our strategy Plans), and who is guarding our journey (the
Holy
Spirit through the Scriptures).
My hope is that this site will help expose us and our ministry
journey
to the world and God’s larger kingdom as we serve and answer
God’s call
on our lives.
